This annual German Science Day has been extended and transformed into the German Science Week 2020.
The German Science Week is intended to facilitate the exchange of doctoral candidates and post-doctoral candidates from Egypt and the MENA region with representatives of various German universities as well as DAAD alumni.
This year’s topics of the first digital “German Science Week 2020” allow you an insight into some of COSIMENA’s cluster-themes impacted by COVID-19: such as Economy, Health and Urbanism.
The following items will be covered in the agenda:
- Research and funding opportunities at the DAAD
- The research landscape in Germany and at German universities
- Diverse scientific talks about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on global issues
- Practical advisory tips on how to improve your soft skills as a young research in an environment, such as Intercultural Training, Critical Thinking, Ethics in Science
The agenda provides herewith an insight by alumni of the cooperative work with the DAAD/COSIMENA, enables ground for interactive discussions after the presentations and gives answers to questions by Egyptian researchers interested in the German science landscapes.

ـoin the online event from the 13th of September to the 17th of September 2020 daily from 12PM (GMT +2) to 2PM (GMT +2) on Microsoft Teams organised by the DAAD Regional Office Cairo.
The event will be conducted in English language (without translation) on the Microsoft Teams platform and the link will be sent out a few days before the event.
