The DAAD Regional Office Cairo invites researchers to attend the public lecture entitled “New Insights into Ancient Egyptian Medical Prescriptions” in the framework of its project “Clusters of Scientific Innovation in the Middle East and North Africa” (COSIMENA).
The public lecture aims to discuss the following questions:
- What new insights are there regarding the medical practices of ancient Egypt?
- How can exploring the history of science help us identify the insufficiencies of modern research?
- To what extent ancient Egyptian medicine is relevant to modern medicine?

Researchers and Scientists in Egypt working in the fields of archeology, history, cultural heritage, health, medicine, and pharmacy.
