Mansoura University Among the Top 1000 Universities Worldwide in the CWUR 2025 Ranking

Mansoura University has advanced 59 places globally and now ranks third among Egyptian universities in the CWUR ranking. The CWUR evaluates over 21,000 universities worldwide, relying on indicators that include the quality of education, employability and research output.

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, the President of Mansoura University, highlighted that the university's third position in the CWUR ranking aligns with the university's vision to enhance various aspects of the  educational  and research process across all domains,  through its academic programs and scientific research initiatives in various scientific fields.

Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, the Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, Emphasizes that this achievement is the result of collective efforts from various sectors of the university. He  also clarified that the CWUR ranking focuses on actual performance without relying on surveys, highlighting the true value of academic and research output, according to four fundamental objective indicators including:

1) Education: based on the academic success of a university’s alumni, measured relative to the university's size (25%)
2) Employability: based on the professional success of a university’s alumni, measured relative to the university's size (25%)
3) Faculty: measured by the number of faculty members who have received top academic distinctions (10%)
4) Research:
i) Research Output: measured by the total number of research papers (10%)
ii) High-Quality Publications: measured by the number of research papers appearing in top-tier journals (10%)
iii) Influence: measured by the number of research papers appearing in highly-influential journals (10%)
iv) Citations: measured by the number of highly-cited research papers (10%)

 It is worth mentioning that the (CWUR)  ranking is a leading consulting organization that provides advisory services, strategic visions, and consulting services to governments and universities to improve educational and research outcomes.
