Mansoura University Vice President Welcomes an Expert from Ohio University to Enhance Research Collaboration

Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President of Mansoura University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, received Dr. Joe Granki, an expert in vertebrate fossil conservation and restoration at the O’Connor Lab, Ohio University, and researcher Belal Salem, a member of the Salam Lab team and a PhD researcher at Ohio University. The official visit to the center was conducted in the company of Dr. Hesham Salam, founder of the Mansoura University Vertebrate Paleontology Center (MUVP center), and Dr. Shorouq Alashqar, a researcher at the center.

During the visit, Prof. Ghalwash and Dr. Granki exchanged the emblems of Mansoura and Ohio Universities, a gesture reflecting the spirit of academic cooperation between the two institutions.

Prof. Ghalwash affirmed Mansoura University's commitment to hosting researchers and experts from various countries and disciplines, contributing to enhancing the university's global research standing. He also highlighted the role of the "Knowture" platform and the university's efforts in expanding the knowledge base and supporting scientific research.

Dr. Granki praised the prestigious global reputation of the Mansoura University Vertebrate Paleontology Center, asserting that it has become a model to be emulated not only in Egypt or Africa but worldwide. He commended the spirit of cooperation and harmony among the Salam Lab team members, expressing his admiration for the skills of the young researchers and trainees at the center, describing them as representing "a bright future in this field."

Dr. Hesham Sallam expressed his deep appreciation for the support provided by the university for scientific research, noting that the continuous efforts exerted by the university's research sector drive the scientific research movement and serve the scientific community both locally and internationally.
