Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President of Mansoura University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, emphasized that Mansoura University’s attainment of the 1st position locally in the "International Outlook" indicator and the 59th position regionally in the Times Higher Education (THE) Arab University Rankings 2026 represents the culmination of intensive research efforts dedicated to enhancing the University's global standing.
Prof. Ghalwash explained that this distinction reflects the success of the Postgraduate Studies Sector's strategic plans to support the scientific research ecosystem, develop researchers' capabilities, and focus on high-impact scientific publication. He also highlighted the expansion of international partnerships and joint research projects with prestigious global institutions, noting that the University is steadfast in its strategy to further strengthen this international presence.
This statement comes within the context of the achievement of being listed among the top 100 Arab universities. Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, praised this progress, which reflects the University's leading position on the higher education map. He affirmed that this ranking highlights the success of the University’s strategic vision in enhancing the quality of education and academic openness, aligning with the Egyptian state's directives to elevate the international competitiveness of its universities.
It is worth noting that the THE Arab University Rankings 2026 included 268 Arab universities. Their performance was evaluated based on a comprehensive methodology relying on five main pillars: Teaching, Research Environment (Volume, Income, and Reputation), Research Quality (Citations), Industry (Knowledge Transfer), and International Outlook—the pillar in which Mansoura University demonstrated remarkable superiority this year.
