Mansoura University Achieves New Global Milestone in 2025 US News Ranking

Professor Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, announced that the university has achieved a new international milestone by making significant progress in the 2025 US News global university rankings. The university ranked 301st out of 2,250 institutions worldwide, climbing 34 spots from the previous year.

Regionally, Mansoura University placed 5th in Africa and 3rd among Egyptian universities. Additionally, 19 of its academic disciplines were ranked among the best in the world.

Professor Khater emphasized that this advancement reflects the national vision laid out by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to improve the quality of higher education in Egypt and contributes to the broader goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the national strategy for higher education.

He added that the university’s rising status highlights its growing reputation in the fields of education and research, and serves as a testament to its ongoing efforts to enhance academic quality, promote international research publications, and expand academic partnerships.

Professor Khater noted that the US News ranking is one of the most trusted global rankings, as it relies on rigorous criteria such as academic reputation, research output, citation impact, and international collaboration. He also pointed out that Mansoura University has strengthened its global presence through carefully developed strategies to support scientific research.

He further celebrated the university’s achievement of having 19 disciplines recognized globally, including 10 ranked among the world’s top 300. This reflects the university’s excellence across diverse fields and its strong scientific output.

“Mansoura University continues to invest in institutional development, faculty training, international publication, and fostering a supportive environment for innovation,” he said.

The university president extended his congratulations to faculty members, researchers, students, and staff, praising the efforts of the Postgraduate Studies and Research Sector in enhancing the university’s global research standing.

Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President for Higher Education, credited the achievement to the university’s strategic planning and its commitment to a strong research infrastructure and academic excellence.

He also stressed the university’s continuous efforts to enhance its research capacity and build partnerships with global academic and research institutions.
