Dr. Hassan Aboelnga Receives the Global "Water Drop Award"

Dr. Hassan Aboelnga—International Expert, Lecturer at the University of Cologne, Chair of the Water Security Group at the International Water Resources Association (IWRA), and Advisor to the Joint Technical Committee for Nile Water—has received the "Water Drop Award" from the IWRA.

This recognition took place during the 19th World Water Congress held in Marrakech, Morocco.

The award was granted in recognition of his contributions to enhancing water security and developing scientific tools to bridge the gap between research and decision-making, supporting strategies to address climate change.

In a related context, Dr. Aboelnga serves as the International Coordinator for the "iWater" project, a collaboration between Egypt and Germany. This project aims to establish a new generation of researchers capable of leading the future of integrated water resources management by providing advanced training and educational programs in water sectors, climate change, and governance.
