The project entitled "Raising the efficiency and quality of the research level using the NMR device" is one of the most successful projects funded by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology.

In the implementation of the state's directives on placing innovation as one of the pillars of Egypt's Vision 2030, the Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority always seeks to support innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives and address funding gaps in a way that is reflected in achieving the sustainable development goals,

And one of its most successful projects is the project entitled "Raising the efficiency and quality of the research level using the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Device", with was financed with 5 million pounds, in the aim of helping researchers in the field of pharmaceutical chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and medicinal plants to discover the chemical structure of manufactured organic materials and Natural.

Prof. Hussein Al-Sabbagh, PI of the project and professor of medicinal chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mansoura University, who holds a Doctor of Science degree (D.Sc), explained that the NMR device has greatly contributed to the field of drug design and discovery research, as it aims to assist in conducting research that You need to know the chemical composition of the pure or mixed dissolved chemical compounds, which aim to work on spreading modern technology related to examining the elements and compounds of the various research centers and following up on the quality and purity of most industrial products,

Prof. Dr. Walaa Sheta, CEO of the authority, explained that since the start of the project, more than 9,000 samples were conducted for nearly 25 entities.

His Excellency added that many training courses related to nuclear magnetic resonance have been organized, and coordination has been made with other scientific research centers at the national and global level to exchange experiences and joint research, which is a great success for the project, which indicates the accuracy of the authority’s selection of advanced research projects through its various committees. Dr. Walaa, the authority is following up on about 1000 projects in the current period.
