Call For Application of Zayed Sustainability Prize 2024

The Zayed Sustainability Prize is a global award that recognizes and rewards organizations and schools that have made significant contributions to sustainability. The Prize was established in 2008 by the United Arab Emirates in honor of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the UAE. The Prize is awarded annually in five categories: Health, Food, Energy, Water, and Global High Schools. The Prize’s 2024 cycle is now open for submissions.

 Eligibilities

  • The applicant must be a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME), a nonprofit organization (NPO), or a global high school.
  • The solution provided by the applicant must be innovative, impactful, and inspiring.
  • The solution must be a novel solution or a transformation of an existing solution that solves a challenge or a need, generates value, and brings significant positive impact.
  • The solution must be technically and commercially viable and adopted by the market.
  • The solution must have had a positive impact on the quality of people’s lives.
  • The solution must be resilient to potential social, economic, technological, and environmental challenges.
  • The solution must involve good governance by employing skilled people and establishing fair policies.
  • The solution must reflect Sheikh Zayed’s core values, sustainability, and humanitarian efforts.
  • The solution must be able to inspire and influence others to advance sustainable and human development.
  • The solution must be able to further inspire sustainable actions from the wider community by instigating behavioral changes.
