Delegation from Mansoura University, Led by Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Visits Cologne University in Germany to Activate the Cooperation Protocol Between the Two Universities

As part of Mansoura University's plan to expand international partnerships with globally renowned institutions and to deepen its international role, the university aims to build scientific capacities capable of enhancing the research environment and exchanging scientific and research experiences.

A delegation from Mansoura University visited Cologne University in Germany, led by Prof.  Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, to complete the procedures for activating the protocol with the German side. The delegation included Prof. Sherif Badawy, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Mansoura University, and representatives from Ain Shams University.

Prof. Cherif Khater emphasized that this visit reflects Mansoura University's commitment to implementing the national strategy for higher education and scientific research in line with Egypt's Vision 2030. He noted the university's ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation with internationally reputable universities and educational institutions to elevate the academic and research standards of the university across various fields.

Prof. Tarek Ghalwash stated that signing this agreement is an important step in the university's plan to achieve the goals of the project linking scientific research to industry, as well as to strengthen academic collaboration between Egyptian and German universities within the multidisciplinary water project. He added that the visit included signing cooperation agreements to develop a master's program in Integrated Water Resources Management.

During the visit, several discussions were held regarding academic cooperation and the development of joint curricula, in addition to discussing mechanisms for collaboration in scientific research and applied education. The structure of the university program in water resources management was also discussed, highlighting the importance of integrating partners from both the public and private sectors in the educational process.

It is noteworthy that Prof.  Cherif Khater, the university president, had previously signed a cooperation agreement between Mansoura University and Cologne University of Applied Sciences in several research and applied fields.
