Egyptian paleontologist prof/ Hesham Sallam receives Robert Lynn Carroll Award

Egyptian paleontologist  Hesham Sallam, founder of the Mansoura University Vertebrate Paleontology Center, has received “The Robert Lynn Carroll Award” for his work in the study of vertebrate fossils.

The Robert Lynn Carroll Award”  is provided by the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology (SVP) USA, the world's largest organization for vertebrate palaeontology. this award is conssidered one of the most prestigious awards that no one gets unless he has clear contributions and made changes in his scientific environment, It is worthy mentioning that Nominations are confidential and candidates should not be informed of the submission,Prof.Hesham Salam has been nominated by three scientists from prestigious foreign universities, besides four researchers  of the "Salam Lab" research team.

The award is scheduled to be presented at the annual meeting of the Society, which is expected to be held next October in the state of Ohio, USA, with a large presence of vertebrate paleontologists around the world.
The award comes as a tribute to prof. Hesham sallam for his tireless efforts, which he devoted for several years to the service of science and the establishment of the first scientific Vertebrate Paleontology Center at Mansoura University.
