Mansoura University Organizes the German-MENA Industry and Technology Exchange (GERMINATE) Symposium

Mansoura University organized the activities of the German-MENA Industry and Technology Exchange (GERMINATE) Symposium aimed at connecting scientific research with industry. The Symposium was hosted by Mansoura University as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, under the patronage of Prof.Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, and the leadership of Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research. This event is part of a competitive project funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), spanning two days from November 17 to 18, 2024. Attendees included Prof. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumy, Vice President for Education and Students, Prof.Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President for Community Service , deans of various faculties, Mr. Saad Abdel Wahab, acting Secretary-General of Mansoura University, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Khalek, coordinator of the Germinate program at Mansoura University, and Dr. Nermine Abdel-Atty, coordinator of the COSIMENA project at DAAD in Egypt, along with a selection of prominent speakers with reputable academic backgrounds from leading universities in Germany, England, and Egypt.

The organization of this Symposium by the Graduate Studies and Research Sector reflects Mansoura University's commitment to strengthening the relationship between scientific research and industry. More than 20 speakers, including scientists and innovators, participated in diverse topics and rich discussions to transfer the latest innovations from the field of scientific research to industry and to connect with industry leaders and academics.

Prof. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumy welcomed the attendees to Mansoura University, noting that it is one of the oldest and largest universities in Egypt

Prof. Tarek Ghalwash expressed his gratitude for the honor of organizing and hosting this significant scientific event highlighting that the university prioritizes internationalization by strengthening partnerships with various international educational institutions. The project aims to connect scientific research with industry by implementing research projects across various fields.

The Symposium showcases inspiring experiences and rich discussions on the latest innovations, allowing for interaction with thought leaders in academia and industry.

The Symposium targets several groups: faculty members , researchers and graduate students, scientific teams and project students, entrepreneurs, and owners of startups in technology and innovation, with attendance exceeding 400 participants.
