Professor Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, stated that Mansoura University successfully advanced 100 international positions to rank within the 201-300 category compared to last year, 2023. This improvement is attributed to the university's achievement of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Mansoura University participated in all 17 SDGs and achieved notable international rankings in each as follows:
- 70th worldwide in achieving Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure).
- 201-300 worldwide in achieving Goals 2 (Zero Hunger), 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), 10 (Reduced Inequalities), 14 (Life Below Water), and 15 (Life on Land).
- 301-400 worldwide in achieving Goals 3 (Good Health and Well-being), 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
- 401-600 worldwide in achieving Goals 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), 13 (Climate Action), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
- 601-800 in achieving Goals 1 (No Poverty), 4 (Quality Education), and 5 (Gender Equality).
It is noteworthy that achieving the Sustainable Development Goals is a significant activity for Egyptian universities, aligning them with global institutions.
