Mansoura University Welcomes a Delegation from Zhejiang University, China to Explore Scientific Cooperation in Veterinary Medicine

Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President of Mansoura University for Higher Education, welcomed an academic delegation from Zhejiang University, one of China’s leading universities located in Hangzhou Province. The visit comes as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation between the two institutions, particularly in the field of veterinary medicine.

The visiting delegation from Zhejiang University included:

  • Prof. Ding Tian – Professor, College of Biosystem Engineering and Food Science

  • Hu Zheheng – Coordinator, Office of Admissions, International College

  • Ying Yunbin – Postgraduate Work Department

The delegation was received by:
• Prof. Maha Abdo Mohamed El-Ashmawy – Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine
• Dr. Yousra El-Far – Deputy Director of the International Relations Office at Mansoura University
• Dr. Shadi Awny – Deputy Director of the International Relations Office at Mansoura University
• Dr. Mahmoud Abbas El-Afify – Lecturer of Food Safety and Hygiene at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Visit Coordinator

The visit included a tour at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, covering scientific departments and Mansoura University Vertebrate Paleontology center. Both sides discussed opportunities for collaboration in scientific research, academic exchange, and the development of joint educational programs that would benefit students and researchers from both universities.

During the meeting, Prof. Tarek Ghalwash emphasized the importance of such international partnerships in enhancing the quality of education and scientific research. He also praised Zhejiang University’s prestigious standing in global rankings. The Chinese delegation expressed their admiration for the research capabilities and infrastructure of Mansoura University's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
