2026 UNESCO-Equatorial Guinea International Prize for Research in the Life Sciences

UNESCO announces the opening of nominations for the 10th edition of the UNESCO-Equatorial Guinea International Prize for Research in the Life Sciences.

This prestigious award recognizes and rewards outstanding scientific research by individuals, institutions, or non-governmental organizations that leads to the improvement of human life. The prize encourages research that contributes to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Key Details:

  • Prize Value: US $350,000 (divided equally among up to three laureates).

  • Recognition: Laureates also receive a certificate and the "Integración Tribal" statuette.

  • Deadline: 31 March 2026.

  • Submission: Nominations must be submitted by National Commissions for UNESCO or Non-Governmental Organizations in official partnership with UNESCO. Self-nominations are not accepted.
