As part of its COVID-19 plan, the AUF launched from April 10 to May 5, 2020, a first international call for projects to support, within its member institutions, student initiatives, engineering students and young researchers linked to the pandemic. An amount of one million euros has been released to finance 92 projects from 87 member establishments in 44 countries. The AUF, attentive and sensitive to the evolution of the pandemic which continues to rage, launches a new international call "AUF-COVID-19.2" by broadening the typology of eligible projects. The call is open until July 15, 2021.

The call prioritizes:
- Teams of young researchers carrying out projects for the benefit of the countries of the South
- Consortia offering projects with a national, regional or international impact. The involvement of the Ministries concerned is encouraged and valued.
Budget
Faced with the needs, the AUF is devoting an exceptional fund of 1,000,000 euros to this new international call "AUF-COVID-19.2".
