The Swiss Leading House MENA is pleased to announce the opening of its 2025 Research Partnership Grants (RPGs) call, aimed at enhancing research collaboration between Switzerland and partner countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
With grants of up to CHF 25,000, this competitive funding opportunity supports both the initiation of new joint research projects and the deepening of existing collaborations. Projects from all scientific disciplines are welcome, including interdisciplinary and practice-based approaches such as field studies, qualitative research, workshops, and artistic or design-led investigations.
The RPGs are designed to foster sustainable, long-term partnerships that may result in follow-up applications to national or international funding programs, or contribute to institutional collaboration across borders. Emphasis is placed on mutual commitment, and proposals that include co-funding or in-kind contributions from both partners will be viewed favorably.
Eligible applicants must hold an academic or research position (permanent or lasting through the project period) and demonstrate significant expertise in their field. Projects may last up to 12 months, with a submission deadline of August 22, 2025, and the latest project start date in January 2026.
Funding may cover a wide range of research costs, including equipment, travel, conference participation, and living allowances, subject to the conditions outlined in the official call guidelines.
