Australia Awards scholarships in Africa

Applications are now open for the Australia Awards Africa scholarships for the 2027 intake. This prestigious program offers mid-to-senior level professionals the opportunity to undertake Master’s degree studies in Australia, aiming to equip future leaders with the skills to drive change and development in their home countries.

Eligibility

- Must be a citizen of an eligible African country, currently residing and working in Africa.

- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and must not already hold a Master’s degree.

- Applicants should be mid-level to senior-level professionals currently employed in a relevant field.

- Ability to demonstrate how the knowledge gained in Australia will be used to improve policy, practice, or reform at home.

-  Satisfactory English skills to participate fully in Australian postgraduate courses
