The CrossCulture Programme (CCP) Fellowships

The CrossCulture Programme (CCP) is a fully-funded fellowship program by Germany's ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen) that aims to strengthen civil society and promote intercultural dialogue.

The program offers professionals and volunteers the chance to spend two to three months in a host organization in Germany or one of the 40+ partner countries. It's designed to help participants broaden their expertise, build valuable international networks, and develop transcultural skills. In return, host organizations benefit from the fellows' unique expertise and regional knowledge.

  • Experience: A minimum of two years of professional or volunteer experience in a civil society organization.

  • Nationality: Must be from Germany or one of the over 40 participating partner countries.

  • Language: A solid command of written and spoken English is required, as it is the program's working language.

  • Availability: Must be in good health and able to complete a prolonged stay abroad.

  • Note: Current students are not eligible to apply.

The program focuses on individuals working in the following fields:

  • Policy and Society

  • Media and Culture

  • Sustainable Development and Climate Justice

Selected fellows receive a comprehensive package of benefits:

  • Professional Placement: A two-to-three-month placement with a matched host organization.

  • Monthly Stipend:

    • €650 for participants from abroad (to Germany).

    • €1,200 for participants from Germany (to a partner country).

  • Travel Costs: Round-trip airfare is covered.

  • Accommodation: Provided for fellows coming from abroad.

  • Insurance: Health insurance is included.

  • Other Costs: Reimbursement for visa fees and a monthly public transport ticket within the host city (for fellows from abroad).

  • Development: Fellows participate in a transcultural workshop, networking events, and receive access to the CCP alumni network.
