The ANSO-CAS-TWAS/UNESCO PhD Scholarship is now open for applications! This program sponsors up to 40 students to pursue their doctoral degrees for up to 4 years in China.

Studies will be conducted at either the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) or the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS).

This is a fully-funded opportunity that includes:

  • Tuition Waiver

  • Monthly Stipend (6,000 or 7,000 CNY)

  • Health Insurance

  • Application Fee Waiver

  • Round-trip International Travel Allowance

Who is eligible?

  • Nationals from eligible developing countries (including Egypt).

  • Applicants must be born after January 1, 1991.

  • Must be proficient in English or Chinese.

  • Must not be a citizen of China or currently studying in China.

(Special consideration is given to applicants from LDCs and women.)
