The Tahtawi scholarship is intended for Egyptian students who wish to pursue their second year of Master’s (M2), the fifth year of college, in a higher education establishment in France. They have the opportunity to study in programs taught in French or in English.
The scholarship is open to all Egyptian students (currently studying or graduates) who can show proof of having completed four years of higher education in Egypt.
CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY
- Egyptian nationality (French-Egyptian dual nationals are not eligible)
- Study project: application for a Master 2 (2nd year) in a higher education institution in France (university, school…)
- Graduated from an Egyptian or French higher education institution (university, school etc.) OR last year before graduation, certifying that the candidate has followed undergraduate studies for at least 4 years (Bac+4)
- Level of English AND / OR French, certifications accepted:
- DELF, DALF, TCF, IELTS, TOEIC certifying at least a B2 level (CERL)
- OR French Baccalaureate, IGCSE, IB, GRE, GED, SAT, AP
- OR a certificate from the candidate university stating that his studies were taught in English and/or French
SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS
- A monthly stipend of 860 euros for a period of up to 10 months in France (study period and mandatory minimal duration of your internship);
- an exemption from tuition fees if you study in a public higher education institution, up to a maximum of 5000 € except for specific fees;
- access to accommodation in a student residence (at your expense);
- social and health insurance.
The scholarship does not cover the traveling fees.
If you already had a Tahtawi scholarship, you cannot be selected once again. You can only get the Tahtawi scholarship once.
