Prof. Ashraf Hafez - Vice President of Mansoura University for Postgraduate Studies, Research and Cultural Relations, signed a cooperation agreement between the University Development Center at Mansoura University and the German House (the Goethe Institute) with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the two parties to teach the German language to serve the employees of Mansoura University and the Delta region.
The signing of the agreement was attended by Prof. Nahed Al-Anani - Director of the University Development Center at Mansoura University, Prof. Sahar Abdel Rahman - Coordinator of the Agreement, and Dr. Muhammad Al-Rifai - Director of International Relations office at Mansoura University and Mrs. Lamiaa Mahmoud – General Director of cultural relations at the university, and the delegation of the German House Professor / Sally Bondoq – General Director of the German House, Professor / Adham Muhammad - Administrative Director and Head of Courses, and Professor / Hassan Ahmed - Contracting Director.
On the sidelines of the agreement, the German House delegation visited the University Development Center and arranged for the start of German Courses at the center as of November 15, 2020.
In this context, Prof. Ashraf Hafez, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, emphasized that Mansoura University provides many services aimed at qualifying university employees to keep pace with local and international needs in an effort to increase international cooperation and research projects with Germany.
Prof. Nahid Al-Anani, Director of the University Development Center, expressed the importance of providing these services to university students and the local community, given the importance of the German language in developing the university's employees in the academic and research field and that the center will support this agreement by providing the latest means and equipment that contribute to Learn German.
Prof. Sahar Abdel-Rahman, Ambassador of the German Academic Exchange and Coordinator of the Agreement, indicated that this agreement is the first step to conclude a cooperation protocol with the Goethe Institute to conduct the German language test inside Mansoura University and to provide specialized German language courses in the medical field, placement and qualification to pass German language test.
Dr. Muhammad Al-Rifai, Director of the International Relations Office, welcomed the initiative to teach the German language at the university and to participate with the German Authority for Academic Exchange to conduct skills-raising courses, hold cultural evenings, and the various activities of the authority under the auspices of the university's international relations office.
The German House delegation expressed its gratitude and thanks to the University for hosting a branch of their institute at the university to serve the university in particular and the delta region in general.
