Mansoura University Honored for International Publishing Excellence among Egyptian Universities

Sunday, October 31st, 2021 at InterContinental Citystars Cairo, The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in collaboration with the Knowledge Bank and the QS Ranking in the Middle East held a ceremony honoring the ranked Egyptian universities in the QS classification 2022. The event was attended by presidents, deputy presidents, the deans of the faculties, and a group of faculty members and public figures of the universities listed in the ranking.
 
During the ceremony, Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar has stated that the ministry since June 2017 formed a team that would be responsible for the tasks in order to improve the ranking of Egyptian universities and help them to be recognized and accredited by prestigious ranking institutions such as QS World, British Times, Chinese Shanghai, Times News, Leiden Ranking, and other well-known International Ranking institutions.
 
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Ashraf Abdel Basset, President of Mansoura University, and Prof. Ashraf Tarek Hafez, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research.
 
At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Khaled Abdel-Ghafaar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Tarek Shawqi, Minister of Education and Technical Education honored Mansoura University as one of the old established academic institutions and the University gained the first place of “The highest impact of international publication in Web of Science during the last three years”. Additionally, the university gained the fourth place of “The highest impact of national publication in ARCI” among Egyptian Universities.
It is also noteworthy that the faculty of medicine gained the first place of “Excellence Research in the Field of Clinical Medicine” among the top 14 research fields classified in Egypt.
