Mansoura University and Mansoura National University Awarded EU-Funded "EUSEEDS" Project in Collaboration with the Francophone University Agency

Dr. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, announced that Mansoura University and Mansoura National University have secured international funding under the EUSEEDS project. The project is funded by the European Union within the framework of the Interreg NEXT MED program and is a result of the collaboration between the International Relations Offices of both universities.

This achievement follows strong international and regional competition involving universities from Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, and Cyprus. The joint working team succeeded in preparing the project file, delivering an integrated technical presentation, and discussing it with the donor agency according to the highest professional standards. This effort was conducted under the patronage of the University President and the leadership of Dr. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research.

In this context, Dr. Cherif Khater stated that the two universities winning this European project reflects the increasing international confidence in the academic and organizational capabilities of Egyptian higher education institutions. He affirmed that the university is moving with steady steps towards enhancing its international presence and expanding its participation in cross-border projects, serving development goals and human capital building.

He added that the EUSEEDS project represents a model of institutional integration between Mansoura University and Mansoura National University. It confirms the university's vision of linking academic education with labor market requirements and developing employability, entrepreneurship, and digital skills among students, faculty members, and staff, in alignment with European standards and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

He explained that this achievement is part of a comprehensive strategy adopted by the university to increase the volume of international funding and strengthen partnerships with European and Francophone institutions. This contributes to developing the education and training system and supports the competitiveness of graduates both regionally and internationally.

For his part, Dr. Tarek Ghalwash emphasized that the project is a qualitative addition to the portfolio of international projects implemented by the university. He noted that it reflects the success of the university's policies in supporting applied research and capacity building, as well as enhancing the integration between scientific research, entrepreneurship, and digital skills. This serves the state's plans for the internationalization of higher education and linking its outputs to development needs.

He also pointed out that the university's participation in such major European programs contributes to providing advanced training and research opportunities for students and faculty members, and enhances the university's ability to compete in multi-partner international projects.
