Fellowship for African Women Scientists in Biosecurity

With the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the ICGEB offers early-career* women scientists from Africa a training period of 9 months at ICGEB laboratories** in Italy, India or South Africa, to perform research work in the field of biosecurity and virus detection.

Molecular diagnostics of (re)emerging viruses of pandemic potential

• Epidemiology and genomic surveillance of (re)emerging viruses of pandemic potential

• Antiviral strategies

• Vaccine development

• Basic studies on (re)emerging viruses of pandemic potentia

The Fellowship includes:

• Stipend, health insurance and travel
