The Minister of Higher Education honored Mansoura University for its progress in the Arab University Ranking.

Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama, the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, honored Mansoura University for its progress in the Arab University Ranking. This recognition took place during the ceremony for distributing the Arab University Ranking certificates in 2023, as part of the International Exhibition for Higher Education and Training (EDUGATE).

Mansoura University achieved significant success in the inaugural edition of the ranking, securing the third position among the 28 Egyptian universities participating and the fifth position among Arab universities. 

The Arab University Ranking evaluated a total of 208 universities, with 115 universities from 16 out of 22 participating Arab countries being included in the ranking. The countries were ranked based on the number of universities that participated, with Egypt having 28 universities, followed by Iraq with 19, Jordan with 18, Yemen with 10, Palestine with 8, Libya with 8, Saudi Arabia with 7, Tunisia with 4, Syria with 3, the United Arab Emirates with 2, Morocco with 2, Lebanon with 2, Bahrain with 1, Algeria with 1, Somalia with 1, and Kuwait with 1.
