The Government of Romania, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, hereby announces the opening of the application cycle for the 2026 annual scholarship program. This initiative aims to foster international academic cooperation by supporting outstanding students from non-EU countries in their pursuit of higher education within Romania’s prestigious university system.
Eligibility:-
To ensure high academic standards, eligibility is restricted to candidates who demonstrate significant scholastic achievement:

Minimum GPA: Applicants must have a minimum average of 7 (seven) according to the Romanian scoring system, or a "Good" rating, in their most recently completed degree.

Fields of Study: Scholarships are available across all academic disciplines, with the exclusion of Medicine, Dental Medicine, and Pharmacy.
Language Requirements
The program emphasizes the promotion of the Romanian language and culture while maintaining flexibility for advanced research:

Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees: Available exclusively in the Romanian language.

PhD Level: Candidates may opt for programs in Romanian or a foreign language (e.g., English) as determined by the specific doctoral school.

Preparatory Year: A supplementary year is granted to non-Romanian speakers to acquire the necessary linguistic proficiency prior to commencing their degree.
Scholarship Benefits and Provisions
Selected beneficiaries are entitled to a comprehensive support package funded by the Ministry of Education and Research:

Fee Exemptions: Waiver of registration fees, application processing fees, and language proficiency testing costs.

Tuition Coverage: Full financing of tuition expenses for both the preparatory year and the standard duration of the university cycle.
