"Elevating Ocean Solutions for Climate Action: Bridging Science, Policy, and Implementation", jointly organised by the embassies of Germany and France in Egypt.
The event will take place at the Institut Français d’Égypte (Mounira) on Tuesday 25th, February 2025 from 18:00 to 20:00. Registration will open at 17:50.
The theme of this event is "Elevating Ocean Solutions for Climate Action: Bridging Science, Policy, and Implementation". The session will feature distinguished speakers from Egypt, Germany and France in an interactive panel discussion to debate the role of oceans in climate change as vital ecosystems and economic resources. Experts from academia, policy and civil society will reflect on the tools and solutions to better protect them and their biodiversity, followed by an interactive Q&A discussion with the audience.
This event is part of the Cairo Climate Talks organized by the German Embassy in Egypt and of the Blue Talks that France is organizing worldwide in the run-up to the United Nations Conference on Oceans that will be held in Nice, France, in June 2025.
The event will be held in English, an Arabic interpretation will be provided.
