Empowering Grassroots Innovations: A Collaborative Webinar on Scaling Community-Led Solutions

The Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS), in partnership with UN-Habitat, Vital Cities and Citizens (VCC), Closer Cities, and the Justra Cities Network, is pleased to announce the upcoming webinar titled "Grassroots Innovations: How to Move to Scale?" This event is scheduled for Wednesday, January 29, 2025, from 13:00 to 14:30 CET.

Grassroots organizations are pivotal in the development of marginalized communities, often serving as the first responders during crises and representing voices that might otherwise go unheard. Despite their critical role, many of these organizations face challenges in scaling their initiatives, especially in the face of dwindling traditional development funding.

This webinar aims to address these challenges by exploring strategies to localize, co-create, and sustain grassroots innovations for long-term impact. The discussion will emphasize the importance of strategic partnerships that harness local expertise, promote inclusivity, and build capacity for scalable solutions. By amplifying the participation of Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) in decision-making processes, the event seeks to foster impactful and enduring solutions.
