Mansoura University Honors scientists and researchers on the 14th Science Day celebration

 Mansoura University honored 75 scientist and researcher, during the celebration of the 14th  Science Day, who won state awards, university awards for the year 2023 and the most influential scientists on the Stanford list, Authorities and individuals awards, Researcher who have obtained a Doctorate (DSC) of science, the largest funding For a research project, the most influential scientists in Clarivate list, Robert Lynn Carroll International award, the best  TICO office at the level of Egyptian universities, Mansoura Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences (EGBAS) obtained the Q3 ranking , the best public universities in the patent indicators, scientists and researchers who won the best scientific research award for faculty members and researchers, University of Sharjah award for doctoral theses in administrative sciences in the Arab world,  And Youth initiative for development.

Prof. Cherif Khater confirmed that the celebration of the 14th science Day of Mansoura University aims to honor the symbols of Mansoura University and those who wrote their names in the history record of Mansoura University in science and scientific research.

Celebrating science Day is a tribute to genius, excellence and an expression of our belief in the role of science, education, and scientific research in building the knowledge  of society that we seek.

prof. Ashraf Tareq Hafez referred to the development of scientific research in recent years as a result of the interest of the university administration and the postgraduate studies and research sector in developing scientific research by combining the experience of seniors staff with the enthusiasm of young researchers.   He also added The university is keen to provide a suitable environment that can help researchers to produce more research papers in international journals.

Dr. Amr Awad, University Coordinator of Research, reviewed the harvest of the research sector,  he explained the huge jumb achieved by the university in the number of research, leading to the publication of 4000 international research for the year 2022, with a growth rate of 220% compared to 2018.

Dr. Mona El-Hilaly, Director of the ranking Office at Mansoura University, presented the development of the university’s ranking in international rankings, Mansoura University succeeded in being in the category of 600-700 in Shanghai ranking which consider the most important one, She added Mansoura University succeeded in being among the top 500 universities in the world and ranked 447 internationally and ranked second at the local level. To be among the best 301 to 400 universities worldwide.

Dr. Ahmed Fekry, Director of the Office of Grants & International cooperation office  GICO, presented the statistics of research projects between 2019 and 2023, he also reviewed the distribution of the number of projects funded by entities outside the university and the funding in different facuities between  2019 to 2023.

The presentation also explained the percentage of participation of different faculties in research projects and the amount of funding over the last five years.

Mrs..Nashwa Abdel Wahab, Director of the General Administration of Research, presented the services of the Research Administration, and the  administration Achievements during the recent years and what has been achieved in the development of scientific research.
